Meet Rebecca
Rebecca Frechette brings 20 years of applied experience from the School of Health and Exercise Sciences and the Faculty of Education at UBC Okanagan, where she taught courses in health, physical activity, healthy aging, and skill development. She also played a key leadership role in developing and coordinating community practicum placements, creating opportunities for students to apply academic knowledge in real‑world professional settings.
Her academic training — a Master’s degree in Kinesiology (University of Calgary), a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (University of Ottawa), and coursework from the Sauder School of Business (UBC) — provides a strong foundation for educating, leading, and innovating in the field of health and well‑being.
In this entrepreneurial chapter, Rebecca is committed to partnering with clients and communities to improve multiple dimensions of health. Her academic background, professional certifications, and long‑standing relationships with health organizations, universities, municipalities, and private‑sector partners uniquely qualify her to work as a consultant, a CSEP‑Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and the community health lead for RMF Clinical Health Strategies. She is passionate about helping people achieve sustainable lifestyle improvements across the lifespan.
Rebecca believes movement is essential to a high quality of life. She lived this belief as a varsity volleyball athlete at York University and the University of Ottawa, and she continues to embrace an active lifestyle today. In the community, you’ll often find her on the golf course, hiking trails, cross‑country ski routes, pickleball courts, or out on the lake kayaking, swimming, or cold plunging. She also enjoys regular strength training, jogging with her husband and chocolate lab, and spending meaningful time with family and friends.
